If your dispute has already become a lawsuit, Mediation Center staff may offer you a chance to mediate your case at court on the day of your trial. Our mediators are present at most of the following court sessions in Modesto:
- Small Claims: in Modesto at the Small Claims/Traffic Court on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Unlawful Detainers (Evictions): in downtown Modesto at the Main Court, Tuesday through Friday
Usually there will be only one mediator in the courtroom, so the mediator may not be able to offer assistance in every case. If you want to be sure to have a chance to try mediation, be sure to arrive at the courtroom on time, and tell the mediator you want to use mediation—or contact the Mediation Center in advance to see if we can help you settle the case before your court date.
